Twisted Colors
Twisted Colors is a textile exploration that challenges traditional color mixing in weaving. Through a hands-on methodology, the project focuses on creating seamless color gradients and transitions exclusively through the technique of twisting yarns.
The investigation yielded three distinct woven color-gradient objects. Filled with medium-density boards, the scale and structural characteristics of each object change depending on its core material. This versatile construction allows the finished sculptures to be manipulated and re-shaped, making them adaptable to fit into various spatial environments and serving different artistic purposes.
Gaining both national and international recognition, the project has been featured in several notable exhibitions, including Dutch Design Week, OBJECT Rotterdam, Dunkers Kulturhus in Helsingborg, and Syntropia Art Space in Gothenburg.
Twisted colors was awarded first place in the design competition “Svenskt Färgcentrum – Prisad Färg 2023.
