Movement

Movement is a textile exploration that investigates how yarns of varying materials and properties interact on a Silver Reed hand knitting machine. Through deliberate construction, the inherent qualities of the yarn are utilized to capture fluid motion within a fixed, sculptural form. The project began with the development of a comprehensive sample library to refine the techniques before scaling up to the final pieces.
